Soundbite Drop-In Session

Monday, September 9, 2024

2:00pm-6:00pm

Historical Society of Cheshire County

246 Main Street, Keene, NH

LGBTQIA+ people in the Monadnock region are invited to come to the Historical Society of Cheshire County, 246 Main Street, Keene, to record their answers to one of three prompts:

●      Tell a story about a time when you felt proud to be LGBTQIA+.

●      Tell a story about growing up in this region as an LGBTQIA+ person.

●      Tell a story about a meaningful relationship you’ve had and how it shaped your experience as an LGBTQIA+ person.

You’ll be among the first to try out the Society’s new oral history studio at 246 Main Street in Keene. Your thoughts will be preserved in the museum archives as a way of capturing local  LGBTQIA+ history and culture.

Reserve your recording time slot here: https://hsccnh.org/2024/06/28/voices-of-pride/

Please note that all storytellers must be 16 or older to participate.

Soundbites may be used in the creation of a promotional video that will support the historical society’s upcoming project, Voices of Pride: Preserving LGBTQIA+ Oral Histories in the Monadnock Region.
