The Trans Community Support group is a collaboration of trans and non-binary community members that want to provide a safe and supportive space to those who identify as trans, non-binary, and trans-questioning folks in the Monadnock region. We will be meeting once a month either on the third or fourth Friday of that month. Here, we will gather in solidarity together as trans (and questioning) community to be with one another and discuss topics that uniquely affect the trans community. LGBTQIA+ people in the Monadnock region are invited to come to the Historical Society of Cheshire County, 246 Main Street, Keene, to record their answers to one of three prompts:

●      Tell a story about a time when you felt proud to be LGBTQIA+.

●      Tell a story about growing up in this region as an LGBTQIA+ person.

●      Tell a story about a meaningful relationship you’ve had and how it shaped your experience as an LGBTQIA+ person.

You’ll be among the first to try out the Society’s new oral history studio at 246 Main Street in Keene. Your thoughts will be preserved in the museum archives as a way of capturing local  LGBTQIA+ history and culture.

Patrick, or Gay Uncle Patrick (GUP, for short), has always loved his niece, Maisie, and nephew, Grant. That is, he loves spending time with them when they come out to Palm Springs for weeklong visits, or when he heads home to Connecticut for the holidays. But in terms of caretaking and relating to two children, no matter how adorable, Patrick is honestly a bit out of his league.

So when tragedy strikes and Maisie and Grant lose their mother and Patrick’s brother has a health crisis of his own, Patrick finds himself suddenly taking on the role of primary guardian. Despite having a set of “Guncle Rules” ready to go, Patrick has no idea what to expect, having spent years barely holding on after the loss of his great love, a somewhat-stalled career, and a lifestyle not-so-suited to a six- and a nine-year-old.
